we all have things that we want to keep private. but what are some things that you just could have lived without your parents telling you? or did you overhear something and you couldn't look your parents in the eyes for a couple days? or the worst! did you actually SEE something and you haven't been the same since?

one time i was packing my clothes to go on vacation and i opened the suitcase and there was a bag of condoms and this gel stuff!! it was soo sick i didnt know what 2 do so i just threw the whole suticase downstairs

My mom told me (TOLD ME) that my dad and her have sex every night or every other night. I hear them make noises sometimes, too. Once, I even walked in on them. Yikes. Gross. UGH

^why would she tell you?!^ you're right...that is gross. but i can *sorta* relate. when i was about 4, my dad and stepmom were...somewhat of newleyweds. they married when i was two, but still. one morning, i asked my dad, "Daddy, why does _____ (step-moms name) make noises in her sleep?" and he just started laughing. they still talk about it.

Well, there is nothing wrong about finding condoms in a suitcase. I mean, they protect from unwanted pregnancy and diseases so it is nothing gross. About your parents telling you, well it's thier choice weather to keep their sexual life private or not, but if you feel unconfortable about them telling you, just say so to them and I'm sure they won't say a word more on the subject.

^^Still, it's very traumatizing when you find your parents are still having sex. I would be glad they were having protected sex, but still. No kid needs to know that and have those kind of mental pictures.

I walked in on my mom once. By herself. Didn't see anything, but, well, vibrators make a kind of distinctive noise. It was pretty embarassing, but we both just pretended that it hadn't happened.

My mom takes pleasure in calling me fat and she lost some weight recently so we're just sitting in the kitchen and I was doing the dishes and she just gets up and strips and goes "look, aren't you jealous". I just about dropped the plate. I was gonna throw up. I have a huge problem with seeing naked people and seeing my mother in her underwear was something I really didn't wanna have to go through. Ugh!! Then she told me I need a psychiatrist.

^now that was just wrong!^ my cousin is going through a phase where she thinks that anything she eats won't stay with her (but in our family it will!), and my aunt makes sure my cousin knows how she feels. but stripping in front of your kid, that's going way too far.
...what did you tell her?

It's funny how we always expect our parents to be the mature reponsible ones, but then they turn out to be the complete opposite once in a while.
I found the condoms, before. Argh, I was so young too (but not stupid). I'm still scared to open the drawer.
I think parents try to talk to us about their sex lives hoping that we'll be more open about ours, whether it's now or when the time comes. What they don't understand is that our parents are the people we see in the least sexual manner, and thinking of them having sex is, well, an awful thought. Yes, it's natural, but it's something we really hate thinking about.
My mom tried telling me about the time she lost her virginity (I made it go as quickly as possible, I was about ten at the time, oh puh-lease), and it was all I could do not to cover my ears and say, "LA LA LA! I'm not listening!"

I can relate. Ah, embarrassing memories.
Just recently I stumbled upon my dad's stash of porno mags. A few years ago I woke up to some very strange noises coming from the other room. When I was younger, I found a porn video case in the middle of the living room. At first thought, I was embarrassed and even traumatized. Lying in bed, hearing them...it wasn't a settling feeling. I'm sure you can understand. But after a while I realized, that no matter who they are to me and no matter what I regard them as, they are human as well. I suppose it's natural, no matter how much we dread the thought of our own parents participating in such acts.
Also recently, my mother was a little - how shall we say this - "tipsy", I suppose. She let out a few things that she had been meaning to keep secret for a long time. She told me how she had been addicted to drugs in her youth and that she had been [gulp] raped in her late-teen years. It was terrible. Her confessions left both of us in tears. Thankfully for many reasons, she does not remember telling me all of this. I never plan on repeating to her what she told me or plan on letting her know that she brought her deepest secrets to the surface. I suppose there are some things that should remain hidden as curious as we are.

Well, one time, I was just snooping around my dad's desk while he was outside and well, I found some pics that his g/f took of him, in the nude in some tube underneath an outside shower. I was sooo ashamed of him, and I have never been the same towards him again. He is a perverted sick man. Him and his girlfriend are. They are obessed w/ nudity, and that is something, I never wanted to find out about him. I showed my sister, and we just laughed @ him, cuz he looked like some old asshole in a dinky tub that his dog *bitch* sleeps in. lol

A few months ago my step mom was talking about how she bought my dad a thong with a bell on it. She said it was cute and that he wears it. There is definetly something wrong about that picture. Thats just not normal! Ughhhh.
I constantly overhear my mom talking on the phone about her sex life. Gross.
