I thought we could have something to take ideas for new forums. We have quite a few as it is, but if there's a demand for something new, I'm sure the request could be taken into consideration.
Also, if there's any forum you don't think is necessary and should be taken out, request that here as well.

How about an advice forum? I know that in some of the forums, we have advice threads, but wouldn't it be better if we had a whole forum dedicated to that? Then each problem/question would have it's own thread. It would be so much easier to navigate through all the posts, too.

I really like the idea for the advice forum. There's so many "The Offical ______ Problem" threads in various forums that no one uses them and they just get ignored and when they're not being ignored, people are just in there to tell their own problems, and not always giving advice but rather searching for it.
I don't think the Clubs forum is really necessary, either. There's probably only a few clubs that are visited frequently.
I also don't think there's a need for the Breaking Up forum. It's hardly ever visted, and there's only a few threads in there, anyway. It's just kind of sitting there almost empty, when I think any subject matter talking about "breaking up" could probably be put into Love Life.

I've been thinking about doing this for awhile now, but what about a board specifically for locked threads? I was looking at some older threads, and happened upon a lot of locked threads. Instead of cluttering up the actual forums with these dead topics, why not move them all to a board of their own? Of course, you won't be able to reply, but they'll be there if you want to go back and read through them. So this way, it keeps all of the locked threads in one place, instead of scattered about, and it cleans up the boards a little. It's just an idea. -- I like the advice board idea. I could see having a board for that. I'll bring those and the other ideas up with the mods and we'll see what we can do. In the meantime, keep the ideas coming!

A locked threads board! Brilliant! It is annoying to see locked threads floating around the other boards, and it's kind of pointless for them to just be there. Great idea, Fyre! Keep us updated on what the MODs decide in the super-secret-private room where this will be brought up.

How about a rant board, like the ones they have at Moon Cafe and Herstory?

^^^^^^ I have it on my board... And I think it would be cool to have one here also... Though there are a lot more people than mine, so it would probably be limited...

Yeah, I like the idea of a journal page. As long as people, you know, label it clearly. I would not like it if it was all screwed up, you know, like a bunch of threads that say, "Read me! Read me!" and you have no idea whose journal it is.
^^That sounded really OCD of me. Geeb! But basically I like the idea of a journal page.

The journal idea isn't bad, but if you really want a place to organize your thoughts, an online journal would probably be more helpful to you in the long run. It's as private as you want it to be, with lots of features that a thread on here can't give you. If you want people on here to see it, just put a link in your signature.
uJournal (find me on there as OutOfReach) LiveJournal Xanga
Those are a few, but there's plenty more. Just do a search on "Online Journals" or something.
There's plenty out there that are fast, free, and fun to play around with.
Just a helpful alternative.

Not to mention DeadJournal and Open Diary (www.freeopendiary.com). I'm there as The Sex Kitten. Aside from that, I'm a bit confused about the journal boards. Would that entail each person having a thread and posting in it as if it were a journal? In that case, I agree with Lisa in saying that an online diary would probably be simpler and less cluttered. ^^lol.... But yah, I think we should have a journal section like "journals A-E, etc." but you should have 2 have a certain amount of posts to get one so there arent tons of them. It'd be better, because it seems as though not many people actually take the time to look @ the online journals, @ least not mine newayz...
