long hair, quet confidence (not the fake loud kind), Christianity, alternative dress (chucks/worn vans, piercings, cute glasses), smiles but also a disaffected stare, intellectualism with a dorky touch, a sense of humor, and an open (very open) mind. i like a bit of cattiness, i like pushy but giving, i like opinionated but not ignorant, i like natural eyebrows, i like someone who will share their toothbrush and use mine if they need to. someone who knows how to read me is a turn on. ^ the recipe for a Sexy Cocktail®<br> tiffany satisfies.

oh yeah, i have to talk about turn offs too... i can't stand the holier than thou attitude, elitism, "you couldn't possibly understand", people too quick to say those three words, girls who expect everything (i'd rather give you everything and let you be surprised every time), shitty taste in music, closed minds, demands to change (i'd rather change because of you than for you, if you see the difference), nagging, annoying clothes, lipstick and really pretty much all makeup. i'll let you know if i think of anything else.

<<shitty taste in music>>
(taking your disclaimer into account), define "shitty taste". Isn't that a bit unfair, cos tastes differ? I know people who think Beethoven is "shitty" and I think of rap along the same lines. You'd be missing out on a lot if you restricted yourself to finding people with similar taste in music.

like i said, that post reflects only my views, and i left that phraseology ambiguous on purpose. i mean music i think is bad. i have abnormally broad tastes in music. basically i don't want a gf who rocks out to nsync. however, there are rock tastes that bug me, rap tastes that bug me, etc. i just mean music i, me, jeremy, don't like when it's all that they listen to. tiff likes some bands i don't like, but not many, and i think it's a good thing. however, i can think of at least three of my favorite bands that she can't even stand to listen to. i can always listen to something else, because i have broad taste. if i didn't, i'm sure that would be a turnoff to her.

^^ and that's true. i can't stand most rap. if that's all my boyfriend listened to, i don't know if i'd be able to handle it. i wouldn't be able to bump along in his car listening to people rapping about smacking bitches, fly rides, and pimps. i know that's stereotypical, but i don't like it. it would definitely be a turn off to me.
a couple doesn't have to listen to *all* of the same music, but it's helpful if there is a good overlap. not to mention, just because it's a turn off doesn't mean you have to turn off of the guy completely. it's just one thing you aren't going to like about the person. *shrugs*

I guess the turn off would be the I'm-a-victim of men mentality that so many women I know, have. No matter what it is, the man is never good enough. I start to wonder if so many men are not good enough, the person must be awfully hard to deal with. Turn ons: I'm with canola4life: Long hair is wonderful, I have a thing for when girl wear those spaghetti- strap summer dresses. So pretty! But so is a big fuzzy sweater that looks like it's 3 sizes too big for her. Makes me want to hug her. And when a girl dresses up, I don't care what y'all think you look like, you always look so fantastic. I also like if she has an artistic bent, which I have, or at least share the same intrests. Also, I'm all about fun, but deep conversations are a must. Shy girls are awesome is this respect. Once I can get past her shyness, mile-deep conversation about, say astronomy are my reward! I don't buy the notion that "opposites attract." That only works with magnets, but it's hell when you put two humans and thier personalites together and expect them to live amaibly for several years.

must respond to that. dude, werd to the oversized clothing i love it when tiff is lost in the folds of my clothes (she's 5'1.5" and i'm 5'10"). huge baggy pants make her butt cuter for some reason, even if you could claim it gets lost. rarr. oversized. btw, the long hair... i prefer long *straight* hair. i'm not into curls, probably because my mom has such curly hair. sorry.

i also like lots of rings and bracelets and necklaces, all alternative style. nothing too expensive looking, and i think silver looks best. hemp bracelets are a plus
