I use astringent (generic brand-- cheap but works just as well), Oxy pads, Loreal makeup removing/facial cleansing wipes, and these mini-facial scrubs that I can't remember the brand name of. Oh, and not all ^that at once! I use astringent most days, and the other stuff whenever I feel like it, or my skin's being weird. *shrug* You know. Love, ~The Kitten~

I always make my own skin care products. I just feel better about using natural stuff on my face. Here are some: *Lime juice and stiffly beaten egg white. Apply- leave for 15 mts and wash off with cold water. *Oatmeal and yoghurt. Mix enough to make a paste. Apply- leave on for few mts and wash. *Lime juice applied for a few mts. Don't get this anywhere near pimples though, cos it stings! *Milk is a good cleanser too. It doesn't smell very pleasant, but it works wonders! These are more face masks than cleansers. Anyways, hope they help

I used different skin care products depending on the seasons (my skin's oilier in the warmer weather, and really dry in the winter). I use: *Dove bar soap *Aveeno bar *Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash *Oil-Free Cleanser & Moisturizer from the Body Shop *L'Oreal Hydrafresh Moisturizer <-- Best moisturizer ever for oily skin! ;D

I actually use 3 different products, they work very well for me. As a cleanser I use Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash, it’s GREAT. Then as “added cleansing” or whatever, I use Avon Clearskin Pore Cleanser...it also does a good job of exfoliating and it’s gentle enough to use everyday. Finally, I use Neutrogena Alcohol Free Toner..it’s in a blue bottle, it works REALLY well. Jane Cosmetics also has a good line of skin care products for oily skin, they have a cleanser, exfoliator (is that a word?), toner, mask, and a cleansing to go stick for after practice and stuff...I’ve used it before, it works very well. I’d still be using it if I could manage to find it.

I have pretty stubborn acne, and after watching The View, when they had a dermatologist on a couple weeks ago, I took his advice and my face is clearer than it has been for years! I use Oxy 10 twice a day, and ice compresses two times a day (relieves swelling and redness), and although I haven't gotten it yet, I've heard it does wonders, Retin-A. He guaranteed that you will see a difference in two weeks, and you will be clear in two months. I still have some redness associated with my constant jabbing at the buggers for the past 6-7 years, but it looks so much better! ;D

^^Retin-A didn't really work for me much... I was using in combination with pills as well. It may work for some people, but not me... Plus it made my face kind of dry and oily at the same time. It was gross... Anyway, I've been on proactive for 5 days, and here's the before and after pics of one of my worse spots. It totally takes away the redness... like poof. Wow. I love it. My self esteem is like skyrocketing. Yay.

I have had pretty bad acne *face, chest, AND back* for a while. Then I went to my doc and she perscribed these pill thingies, Retin-A, and this 10% Benzoyl Peroxide wash stuff. The pills and the wash seem to be doing well. My chest is totally clear and my face is a lot clearer. As for my back, well my back itself is clearer, but my shoulders are just the same. The Retin-A doesn't work for me. Before I used that crap, I ahd been using Mary Kay facial cleanser, toner and moisturizer. It didnt work AT ALL. So yeah. Thats my say in it

I used to use Pond's with those microbeads and when it ran out I switched to Neutrogena. And it's definately shown it works. I use to have these little pimples on my forehead......now it's all clear.

i'm on prescription....just a super mild antibiotic and tretinoin (which i think is vit. A) in a gel. it works, but it took time. but as a cleanser i use the st. ives tea tree oil facial cleanser. it works well. those clean and clear oil clearing cloths are great too! but i stopped using any non-prescription acne stuff (w/ the salicylic acid or whatever) because in combo with prescription it totally dries out my skin. *~good luck to yous all pobo

My face is pretty oily in the t-zone area. I usually get rid of it with those Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets. They're small, blue and thin, but they work really well. I'm sure you've all heard of it. Also, like ThaIceLady, I used to have all of these like oil bumps on my head. But I've started to use Neutrogena and its clearing completely. I use those cleansing cloths and they feel really nice on my face. Also, the cream cleanser and clear pore treatment stuff are all really good products.
