I suppose I follow trends, but only the ones I like. I don't copy people, but the stores I shop in don't sell much else besides what is at least close to in style. Mostly I just shop for what I think makes me look good. I am opposed to the glittery cutie, hottie, angel, or princess shirts. Maybe because I have seen too many people wearing them that are not cute, hot, or angelic.

Hmm. I think I set trends more than following them. I just wear what looks and feels good, no matter if it's instyle or not...so I guess I don't follow trends...and I'm one of those people who wears unique things. Like I was telling Lisa-- I make a lot of arm-socks, decorate my pants and shirts, wear funky headpieces (heh, that sounds like an Indian chief), and that kind of thing. Love, ~The Kitten~

I'm definantly a trend setter. Once, I wore these bindis on my face, and pretty soon, everyone was. Then my school went and outlawed them. I love being different. I do what I can.

i try to do my own thing, and go vintage for almost everything i buy. i actually dont liek it when other people take up my style. it kind of annoys me that they would do so without even understanding the mentality behind it

I don't know and I don't really care, I just go out and get what I like.

^^Haha, good point! I don't really pay attention to what others wear (at least when it comes to buying my own clothing). If I like it and it's popular, then hey, who cares. If I like it and it's not popular, then hey, good for me. I just like what I like, I suppose. There's no better way to put it. .Hal.

dorkateer - i know how you feel... i hate it when people copy me.... like, i started sewing pants for all of my friends out of cartoon bedsheets and then this other girl from my church started sewing them for herself and her boyfriend. and then i bought this quilt made out of denim and she saw it so she went home and sewed one almost exactly like it. grrrr.

^^^ That probably can get annoying, but remember that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I suppose I follow them... I kind of do --- plus some originality! See, here low cut flare jeans, baby tees, tank tops, hoodies, and skater shoes are in. I go with all of those.... but my jeans are more funkier. Like I have a pair that's normal blue, but the back pockets are lighter and the bottom has 2 big triangles with buttons along the side... I also go with not just the normal blue or beige colour. Different shades, like the new dirty light blue. Those rawk. As for tee shirts, I follow the trend but maybe add some cut gem designs to the shirts.... My tank tops are all loud but still with the trend. I go for the brand name hoodies like roxy and dish, but not the ones EVVVERYONE has... like my dish hoodie, it's normal light nblue zip up, but it has sparkles along the cuffs. It's great. I have boarder shoes too....but MINE have sparkly yellow laces *grin*

I'm neither. Like a lot of people said, I just have my own style, it's not trendy, and it's not completely different either. It's just me. I wear what I want to wear, what's comfortable, and what looks good. Sometimes it's in style, sometimes not. *shrugs*

If I had to choose, I'm a trend follower, but I don't just grab something because it's in and drop it when it's out. I take it if I like it, whether it be in or out, and I keep it as long as *I* like it.
