Of course all people have problems. Hell, I've felt like complete crap the past few days.
I still think we're generally just a depressed society when we all have so much to be thankful for. We all smile a few times a day, regardless of what has happened to us lately.
The thing is, teenage anxiety and depression is taken to be a normal thing. Actually, it's abnormal if you're happy with your life. I think a lot of teenagers feel that they have to be depressed about something, all the time. No one ever tells us otherwise.
I know there are people out there who truly have depression, but you can't tell me everyone I know could be clinically diagnosed.

I wonder how many teenagers do have depression. I just think it would be interesting if a test was done on it.
It's obviously becoming a big problem, so why isn't anything being done about it then? Everyone pretends it's normal, it's supposed to happen, it's just a phase. Maybe something should be done about it. Because I know even if you don't suffer from depression, it can be damn depressing growing up in a world where everyone around you is sad.

^^^ So many teens claim they have depression. In fact, more teens seem depressed than not depressed. In that case, is it really a mental disorder? In order for something to be a disorder, it has to be abnormal and cause a person to not function normally. But if so many people are "depressed", how can that be a serious psychological problem?

All I have to day is....life's a lot more complex than that. Anyone who's judging other people without actually understanding what they're going through should think twice.
