I thought I would post this just so we could put in some ideas on what would make the boards better, what should stay the same, what needs to be added, etc. It's just starting out, and in order to make this community grow and prosper, we should focus on the needs of the members.  ~Lisa However, I can't stress this enough: This is to be about the BOARDS, not a problem you have with a specific person. Will there be a VIP-ish kind of thing here or are you adding more mods? If so, we could have a "nominate for mod/vip/whatever you'll call them here" thread. I think it was spastic.fruit expressed an interest in the Quick Question thread, and I'd luuuurve to help out as a mod, if possible.

Would these VIP's have any special jobs or privilieges? I just want to know what makes them different from any other user.
Anyway, I think we need a no fluffing/bumping policy. It would be great to get these boards off to a good start. Razzberry had a lot of fluffing because there were newbies... No one is really considered a "newbie" here, because we all had some experience at Razz. Like in the other post on this board about fluffing, I think we need a rule about that in the TOS, maybe. Also, I've noticed people bumping topics, which is sort of unnecessary judging that most of these forums have one page, two at the very most.

I've been checking the "no smilies" option on my posts, and every time there's two S's in them, they're changed to $$'s. What the?!

Colors
It is to my knowledge that most users approve of these current colors so they will not be changed.
Ads
Get rid of these by clicking the button at the bottom that says, "Make A Donation". Give the board a $1 and get 1,000 pages free of ads.
Two S's=$$
I just went in to my admin section and made a few changes that should fix these problems, if not please contact me about it.

Since polls can be done here pretty easily, why not have a poll on whether or not to change the colours? If people vote to stay the same, so be it. Conversely, if the users vote to change, another vote can be held on which colours to change to.
Also, I made a post about this a while ago but it was deleted, probably by a moderator. Can I ask why?

I think a poll and thread to vote and comment on the colours is a very good idea. We could find out just how many people want them to stay, change, or just don't care. They could also give suggestions on what to change them to. Maybe they should be changed every week for a month or two (depending on how time-consuming it is to change) then we can vote on what we like best? Because we don't all know what our choices are if we want them changed.

Would it be too much to ask to change the "visited link" colour and the "unvisited link" colour to the same thing? It always bothers me to come here and see some board links green and some blue because I don't visit them.
